Delhi Public School, R K Puram played host to a delegation of students and teachers from Bangladesh, Myanmar and Afghanistan–member countries of South Asian Association for regional cooperation (SAARC). The delegation consisted of 10 students from Myanmar, 4 students from Bangladesh and 2 students from Afghanistan. The Indian Council for Cultural Relations made this exchange programme possible. The guests were welcomed with the lightning of lamp and presented tokens of appreciation. GTB 3rd Centenary Public School, Mansarovar Garden participated in the annual inter-school adolescent festival 2009 organized by National Science Centre and ‘Expressions India’ to celebrate the Advocacy and Promotion of Life Skills Education and School Health. The event took place at the National Science Centre, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. The school bagged the ‘Adolofest-2009’ and best school team prize for the second consecutive year. Nearly 1400 children from 130 schools participated in the competition.
